This is a list of electric current and former Roman Catholic churches in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit. The Detroit Archdiocese is divided into 4 authoritative regions: Central (Metropolis of Detroit); Northeast (including Macomb and St. Clair Counties), Northwest (including Oakand and Lapeer Counties), and South (including Monroe County and southern and western Wayne County). Each of the four regions is further divided into smaller authoritative areas known as vicariates.[one]

Classical Revival, Late Gothic Revival Leon Coquard On March 1, 2020, Detroit Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announced that Pope Francis, had granted the title of Pocket-sized Basilica to Ste. Anne Church. The title is given to churches around the earth to announce a particular importance in liturgical and pastoral life and a closer relationship with the pope. The title of Major Basilica is reserved to churches in Rome. Listed on the National Register of Celebrated Places[2] and equally a Michigan Historic Site.[3]

Belgian, French, German, and Irish Catholics worshipped in the wooden church built on this site. The Reverend Henry H. Meuffels became the first resident pastor in 1857. In 1880-81 a spacious brick church was constructed to serve a growing parish. In 1892 the Sisters of Saint Dominic from Wisconsin reorganized the Saint Clement Elementary School and opened the loftier school in 1923. The present church was congenital in 1960-61. South Oakland Vicariate [edit]

The South Oakland Vicariate is part of the Northwest Region of the Archdiocese of Detroit and includes 24 parishes in the Oakland County communities of Berkley, Beverly Hills, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Clawson, Farmington, Farmington Hills, Hazel Park, Madison Heights, Northville, Oak Park, Royal Oak, Southfield, and Troy.[76]
